Accelerated Learning Program Pilot Study

Funds used to study the effectiveness and long-term viability of implementing an Accelerated Learning Program (ALP) at COD, based on a highly successful model implemented by Baltimore County Community Colleges.

Architecture Design Build II: Building a Temporary Summer Pavilion (Year 2)

Funds used to provide a Special Topics course that allows students to design and build a temporary summer pavilion on the COD campus.

Study Abroad Scholarships—The Global Classroom (Year 2)

Funds used to award scholarships for study abroad programs.

Summer Success Academy

Funds used to provide a solid academic foundation over the summer so students will experience a smooth transition to college and succeed in their fall classes and beyond.

"Smart Start" New Student Enrollment Seminars (Year 2)

Funds used to provide comprehensive support for students entering COD so that they get off to a good start and are more likely to persist. 

Project Access (Year 3)

Continuing Education

Funds used to provide tuition assistance for military veterans to enhance their career opportunities through noncredit Continuing Education professional programs in workforce development.

Promoting STEM Education through Undergraduate Research

Funds used to support internships for two students at Northwestern University’s Materials Research Science and Engineering Center.

START for Talented COD Chemistry Students

Funds used to provide funding for Summer 2015 research internships to three talented COD chemistry students.

Summer College at COD

Continuing Education

Funds used to provide high school students the opportunity to earn college credit and experience college life and student services through a five-week summer course that includes academic, enrichment and social programs.
