Dear Friends of the College of DuPage Foundation,
This issue of Inspire shares just a few stories of impact; from a grateful alum, whose experience and success at COD provided an opportunity to pay-it-forward to students here today via our scholarship program, to turning heartache into a legacy of opportunity for Computer Internetworking Technology students.
Over the past several months I have met with many community groups throughout DuPage County who hold named scholarships with the College of DuPage Foundation. This has given me the opportunity to thank these dedicated individuals, share the story of the College of DuPage Foundation and the students we serve, as well as address questions about the Foundation's mission and practices. What I have enjoyed the most about these visits has been hearing firsthand from individuals as they share their College of DuPage (COD) stories.
There is something powerful and motivating in the personal experiences others have had with our great institution. Whether is was their own time as a student here—either last year or decades past—or the stories of their children and neighbors finding success at COD, people love to share their experiences.
While some may see COD as a place for recent high school graduates to begin their college education, for a lot of students, we are step along the path at so many different stages of life.
So, as we continue to share stories and eagerly anticipate new leadership in these final days of the academic year, please know we celebrate you. Many of COD's students and alumni have been supported in their journey by the generosity of donors like you.
I am proud of our students and the determination they show in their achievements, and I cannot thank you enough for your continued support of their hard work.
All the best for a great summer!
